Jackson Day Celebration The Jackson Rotary Club participated in the 32nd annual Jackson Day. This event is a major fund-raiser for the club. This year’s theme was “ A Classic 60’s show”.
A colorful way to help needy kids Rose McCarthy has multiple pairs of Crocs in every color of the rainbow. Close to 300, actually.

"I love them - but I only wear them in the backyard, never out," McCarthy said.

Aussie club promotes Rotary on the air

radioshowAn eastern Australian Rotary club has taken to the airwaves weekly to spread the word about Rotary in its community.

The Rotary and Community Service radio show is a product of the Rotary Club of Canterbury, Victoria, and has aired on Whitehorse Boroondara Community Radio, serving Melbourne's eastern suburbs, since 2006. The two-hour music and talk program, produced by club president Brian Bloomer, includes an interview each week with Rotarians about their service projects, how they improve people’s lives, and how the public can get involved.

Int'l H2O Collaboration work to begin

h20_collaboration1Work will begin soon on far-reaching projects that will provide millions of people with access to clean water and improved sanitation.

As part of the International H2O Collaboration, an innovative alliance between Rotary International and USAID, the improvements will include long-term water, sanitation, and hygiene projects in Ghana and the Philippines, two of the three countries selected for the first phase of the collaborative effort.
